Project Outline
Roofing Advisors UK Ltd were engaged by City Building & Engineering Service to deliver roofing refurbishment works at a busy retail site for Marks and Spencer plc (UK). The project required careful planning and coordination due to the live, high-traffic nature of the store.
The 890m² roof area consisted of an existing insulated single-ply system, which was retained and overlaid using Alumasc’s Caltech Solutions cold-applied liquid waterproofing system in accordance with product specification reference SP021550.
This seamless overlay approach enabled a rapid and efficient installation with minimal disruption to daily store operations, which was a key requirement for the client.
Project Outcome
Completed between September and November 2021, the works delivered a fully bonded, elastomeric waterproofing solution designed for long-term performance in a demanding retail environment.
The cold-applied system eliminated the need for hot works and allowed the existing roof build-up to remain in place, reducing waste and shortening the overall programme.
