Project Outline
Roofing Advisors UK Ltd were engaged by CBRE Limited to deliver a full roofing refurbishment at an operational industrial site for a national telecommunications hub. The project formed part of ongoing upgrade works across buildings within the telecommunications provider’s portfolio to enhance roof performance and site safety.
The 667m² roof area required the removal of the existing bitumen felt system and the installation of a new built-up felt roofing solution using SikaShield, installed in line with product specification reference 0417594.
As part of the wider scope of works, the existing rooflights were removed and infilled and new lightning protection systems, freestanding handrails and external access ladders were installed to bring the site in line with current safety requirements.
Project Outcome
Completed in June 2024, the project delivered a robust and fully compliant roofing solution that improves the overall performance and safety of the facility.
The SikaShield built-up felt system provides long-lasting weather protection while the addition of access and safety features ensures the site is equipped for future maintenance and inspections.
All works were completed in line with client requirements and with minimal disruption to site operations.
