This week, Roofing Advisors UK Ltd is proud to be supporting No Falls Week, the annual UK campaign dedicated to preventing falls from height in the workplace which is the single biggest cause of workplace fatalities in Great Britain.
For a roofing contractor, this campaign carries particular weight. Working at height is part of what we do every single day. The risks are real, they are present on every site we operate, and the safety of our people is never something we take for granted.
The Scale of the Problem
The statistics behind No Falls Week are stark. Falls from height consistently account for more workplace fatalities in Great Britain than any other cause. Behind every one of those numbers is a person;: a colleague, a family member, someone who went to work and did not come home.
At Roofing Advisors UK Ltd, those numbers are not abstract. They represent the reality of the sector we work in and the responsibility we carry as an employer and as a contractor. No Falls Week gives the industry a dedicated moment to confront that reality, reinforce the standards that protect people and recommit to a culture where safety always comes first.
Taking the Campaign to Our Teams
This week, our Health and Safety Advisor, Fabio Capuano, has been out visiting our teams across sites, delivering Toolbox Talks and Safety Stand-downs as part of our No Falls Week programme.
Toolbox Talks and Safety Stand-downs are among the most effective tools available for keeping safety front of mind on active sites. They create a structured opportunity to pause, review current practices, discuss specific risks and reinforce the behaviours that keep people safe, directly with the operatives who need to hear it most, in the environments where those risks are real.
The response from our teams across all divisions has been excellent. Participation has been strong, and the conversations happening on site this week are exactly the kind that build and sustain a genuine safety culture over time.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the team at Gordon Foley Consulting for their support in helping us organise and coordinate the campaign across our divisions this week. Their contribution has been invaluable in ensuring the programme has been delivered consistently and effectively across all of our sites.
Our Commitment to Working at Height Safety
Proper planning, the right equipment and a culture where safety always comes first is non-negotiable on every job we deliver. That commitment is reflected in our accreditations - including CHAS Elite, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 - but more importantly, it is reflected in the day-to-day behaviour of our teams on site.
No Falls Week reinforces what we work to embed every day of the year. It is a reminder that the standards we maintain, the toolbox talks we deliver and the culture we build are not administrative exercises; they are the things that ensure every one of our people gets home safely at the end of their shift.
Supporting the No Falls Foundation
The No Falls Foundation exists to help save lives by stopping falls from height across all industries. Their work in raising awareness, providing resources and driving cultural change across the construction and working at height sectors is vital, and we are proud to support their mission.
If you work in construction, facilities management or any sector where working at height is a regular part of operations, we would encourage you to visit the No Falls Foundation website to find out more about the campaign, access resources and consider how your own organisation can get involved.

A Shared Responsibility
Falls from height are preventable. Not in every conceivable circumstance, and not without effort but with the right planning, the right equipment, the right training and the right culture, the risk can be managed to a level that protects people effectively.
That is what No Falls Week is ultimately about. Not a single week of heightened awareness, but a prompt to build and reinforce the habits, systems and attitudes that keep people safe every week of the year. At Roofing Advisors UK Ltd, that is a responsibility we take seriously, and one we will continue to take seriously long after this week is over.
