BRIEF:

The supermarket had been suffering from intermittent leaks to various locations over a number of years  which was having an impact on footfall during heavy and prolonged rainfall. Attending maintenance contractors had been stemming the ingress during emergency visit but failing to identify and propose long term solutions. We carried out a full survey over the sanding seam metal roofing system, fixings, rooflights and gutters.

OUTCOME:

We identified issue with the existing overlapping edges of the standing seam roof and issue with the roof lights. The roof had also suffered from previous storm damaged with areas of impact punctures identified to the field area.

The rooflights where the main contributor to the ingress and proposal to fully replaced these along with a full upgrade top the overlapping edges was proposed.

Following the condition survey, the clients  appointed Main Contractor took the proposals to tender and following the successful appointment of a sub- contractor, Roofing Advisors partnered the main contractor to ensure the project was installed as per our recommendations and signed off upon completion, ensuring all warranties could be obtained.
